Honing the power of design

Hailing from Pakistan’s ruggedly beautiful Balochistan province, Nimra Qazi received her BArch from the prestigious National College of Arts in Lahore in 2006. Her early professional career started in 2008 with NESPAK Islamabad, where she worked on some significant projects such as master planning of UET campus Jalozai, COMSATS university Library, AFPI building Hostels etc.

She proceeded to England to do her MArch from University of Nottingham where she majored in urban design, gaining valuable knowledge and experience in the field for her coming professional years.

Upon her return to Pakistan, Qazi established Timeline Designs in 2011 which from day one has been involved in designing and building a wide range of projects such as residential, commercial, hospitality, administrative, recreational entertainment spaces etc. Her core value in design is driven through functional and sustainable thinking. As a young, enterprising CEO, Qazi believes in the idea of bringing power of design to simulate the human experience. She aims to provide creative, functional and efficient spaces with the finest custom-tailored interior services, bringing best ideas in the industry, with in the given budget, time, whilst assuring its quality to her clients. Her strong belief in opening up horizons and allowing eco-friendly, sustainable centric designs is an integral part of her practice that can be noticed in most of her projects.

Qazi is the first female architect from Baluchistan region whose company is registered under the highest category “NO LIMIT” (execution of projects worth PKR 100 million and above delivered) by the prestigious Pakistan Council for Architects and Town Planners (PCATP).She is a member of various professional bodies including PCATP, Green Building Council Pakistan (GBCP), CDA license holder as well as the Honorary Secretary General 2017-18 for the IAP-RIC. (Institute of Architects Pakistan Rawalpindi Islamabad Chapter)

As part of Global Shapers Community of the World Economic Forum (WEF), she is also involved in a series of projects and initiatives that are being carried out for community outreach and engagement. Through frequent travels to many shape events of the community, have led her to participate in various youth empowerment programs, enabling and inspiring her to hone the knowledge through experiences which she has later implemented on various occasions as part of her design phyloposphy.

With the focus to lead one of the largest architectural firms in Pakistan, for Qazi ‘Sincerity, Responsiveness and Professionalism’ are the hallmarks of deliverance at Timeline Designs.

Being a practicing architect my passion is to study the components that shape our global society, collective memory and identity of individuals. I use design strategies to materialize the intangible characteristics in a physical world to create meaningful experiences. I am a firm believer in the power of collaboration to acquire results for the collective good of the team.

My work experience ranges from architecture and interior design of residential to commercial projects including farmhouses, shopping malls, multi storey residential apartments and institutional buildings.

I aim to use my design potential to create spaces of equal representation that can offer a multitude of meaningful experiences.
