“if I were asked to name the chief benefit of the house, I should say: the house shelters daydreaming, the house protects the dreamer, the house allows one to dream in peace” Gaston Bachlard
This project is one of those ideal design opportunities every ambitious architect looks for. The client gave us a lot of freedom to play around with our own interpretations of their required aesthetics. Designing a domestic space is a job that needs a lot of passion as well as attention to detail, as it guides the daily circumstances of the habitant.
The final design with its modernistic edgy lines and slit windows brings a new language to its context, as well as makes sure to filter out unnecessary direct light from entering the living area. The grayscale palette is the confluence of the client and firm’s mutual attempt to celebrate simplicity and purity in design.
